fig. 01 about this film
What you'll see and hear
Rain patters on the roof and runs down the windows, thunder rolls over the mountains, and the fire crackles and sends up sparks. A black cat sleeps on the sheepskin by the hearth, until the thunder wakes her, or something drifts past. In the armchair beside her, a skeleton sips from a brass goblet and keeps an eye on the room. Jack-o'-lanterns glow among the candles, the old clock ticks and chimes the hour, and beyond the glass a violet storm sky hangs over an eerie green mist.
Every so often a ghost slips out of the wall and floats through the cabin, or drifts over the valley outside. Watch closely: the jack-o'-lanterns go out one by one and light again, a handprint appears on the misted window, a chess piece moves by itself and the other side answers, and once, a candle floats.
This is a real-time 3D world built from scratch, recorded one frame at a time in 4K 60fps. The picture and the sound are generated live.
Leave it running for sleep, study, reading or a cozy October night.
